Time flies when you’re in love.

It seems like yesterday we met

Like
yesterday we took that first step

Remember when?

When we looked into
each other’s eyes?

And there in the depth of our souls we saw
romance?

Romance that, though no longer expressed

through your amazing
kiss, soothing touch,

waits for you, and longs for you.

It calls for
you… listen and you will hear

the beat of my heart, like the beat of a
drum

We no longer dance

that enticing dance, what an incredible
dance

to our private rhythms,

our hearts provided the music

lips,
hands, our bodies entwined in this dance

there was only us, you and
me

So long now

I have loved you; you have held me and kept me

So
long now

my heart has ached for you,

I have dreamed of you;

open my
eyes and you’re no longer here

I’m alone now

but there are times

when I
feel you next to me

holding me, your warm breath on my neck

the way you
kiss, your hand my skin; my hand on you

It seems like yesterday

my
heart skipped a beat… wait

it was yesterday, when I thought of you… like
I always do

Your smile, your laugh, you
